*MentorMe® Daycare is aware that not every business celebrates this holiday; therefore, MentorMe® Daycare will remain sensitive to its parents’ needs.

If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday that Friday or Monday will be closed. For example: If Christmas Eve is on a Friday the daycare will be closed. The daycare will reopen on Monday. If Christmas Day falls on a Sunday the daycare will be closed that following Monday. We will reopen on the following Tuesday. Please make alternative arrangements for your child/children. There are NO EXCEPTIONS.
Inclement Weather
If Prince George’s County suffers severe or threatening weather conditions such as: tornadoes, blizzards, floods, snow storm, ice storm and severe wind storms and/or temperature-drops MentorMe® Daycare will typically follow the Prince George’s County School District Closing Announcement and/or the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) government announcement.
Please feel free to contact our office as early as 5:00am the morning of the severe weather condition for an updated announcement; and always exercise extreme caution during this time.
If PG County merely publishes delayed school hours, the daycare is open at 7:00am and closes at 6:00pm. Please retrieve your child(ren) as early as possible to avoid late fee charges and pick/up delays due to inclement weather.
Parent Vacations
When a parent/guardian is scheduled for vacation, please be reminded: Your fee is due prior to your vacation.
Vacations
Director/Staff Vacations
The MentorMe® Daycare Director is allowed to take up to 2 weeks vacation a year. The Director will notify parents up to 4 weeks in advance in order to allow time for parents to adjust their schedule and/or locate alternative daycare during this absence. Notification is also published on the daycare's calendar posted in the activity area. MentorMe® Daycare may, at times, decide not to close during this absence.
When or if the Director takes a vacation, MentorMe® Daycare will not charge parents for the vacation time that the Director takes if the daycare closes.
However, if MentorMe® Daycare opts to provide a substitute, parent's have a choice of bringing their child, at which time the normal fee/rate will be charged to parents due to the daycare remaining opened during the Director’s absence.
Personal Time
MentorMe® Daycare allows its Director to take five (5) additional days absence for sick leave and/or personal growth and enhancement.
Although these days are normally pre-scheduled, unforeseen incidents may occur which does not permit pre-scheduling.
At these times, MentorMe® Daycare will notify parents in sufficient time in the event the daycare is closed during this absence.
